Phlebotomy Training
Phlebotomy training can vary in length
and level, depending on how advanced you want your education to be.
Training is normally a six month to
one year certificate program or a two year associate’s degree in phlebotomy.
An associate’s degree can be used as a stepping stone to
obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
There is also the option of taking
phlebotomy training online if your circumstances mean that it is difficult to
commute to a campus or to study at
scheduled times. Online phlebotomy classes offer basic skills for a certificate or diploma in Phlebotomy which usually
last between three to six months.
Associate degrees take longer to complete. It will however, be
necessary to attend practical hands-on training in a laboratory setting in
order to prepare for the mandatory period of internship.
